Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited circumstances in which another service may receive it. By continuing to use Schuylkill County Criminal History, you accept these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Schuylkill County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email message may be retained long enough to review it and respond. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the server receives routine technical details about that visit:

  • Page-view times and the pages opened
  • Device type and operating system
  • Browser name and version
  • The referring site, when one is supplied
  • Time spent on individual pages
  • The device IP address

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics services combine that usage information into reports. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Route a search request to the selected partner service
  • Find and repair errors or performance problems
  • Measure which resources visitors use
  • Deliver advertising that may reflect visitor interests
  • Keep the website available and responsive

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Schuylkill County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Schuylkill County courts and county custodians, the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, and the Pennsylvania State Police Megan’s Law Public Website. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not turned into a consumer report or a file about another person.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing practices apply to information submitted through those tools. Those rules are outside this site’s control, so review the provider’s policy before running a search.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to county offices, Pennsylvania agencies, court portals, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s policy governs. Read it before providing personal information.

Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads. This site does not control that tracking.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
  • Search partners processing a query submitted to their tool
  • Advertising networks serving ads on the pages
  • A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards protect collected information. No internet system is completely secure, however, and the site cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary with the law that applies where a visitor lives. Pennsylvania’s Criminal History Record Information Act, 18 Pa.C.S. Chapter 91, governs criminal-history information held by covered agencies, while the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law governs access to qualifying agency records. Neither law makes this private site an official Schuylkill County records custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:

  • Request access to personal information held about them
  • Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
  • Seek deletion where the law permits it
  • Decline certain forms of processing when an opt-out right applies

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A new version will appear here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it from time to time.
